Blue shirt is an increasingly popular way for college sports teams to manage their athletic scholarship budgets. Under this system, an athlete is awarded a scholarship at the start of their freshman year, even if he or she hasn’t officially signed with the school. It allows teams with too many committed athletes to borrow against next year’s total and give an uncommitted athlete a chance to play for them. Blue shirt rules are fairly strict, though. In order to qualify, the athlete must have no official visit to a school, no National Letter of Intent (NOI), and no other form of athletic aid.
Here Are Some Things To Keep In Mind
There are several different shades of blue shirting, ranging from light green-blue to pale violet-blue. Light blues are typically softer and less saturated. Medium-light blues are slightly lighter than dark blues, and are the best choice for people with cool complexions. While light blues are suitable for most people, they are not recommended for everyone. Light green-blues and light violet-blues may suit those with a warm complexion, while a cool-toned person may look better in the shade of blue they choose.
